Rental Properties
Rental Properties must be registered with the Township and inspected every 3 years. To register your rental property with the Township, you must fill out the Rental Registration Form and submit it to the Township with the appropriate fee. Those fees are as follows:
One Hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first unit on a single lot, and Fifty dollars ($50.00) for every unit after the first on a single lot. For example, if you only have 1 unit total, the registration fee will be $100.00. If you have 3 units total, the registration fee will be $200.00 total ($100.00 for the first unit, and $50.00 for each unit after the first). This fee must be paid to the Township in either cash or a check made payable to Longswamp Township.
Once the Rental is registered, the Zoning Officer can complete the inspection. There is no fee for the Rental Inspection.
