Longswamp Township is responsible for creating and maintaining a standard Board of Supervisors that is responsible for governing the Township.
Under the Board of Supervisors guidance and direction is the Longswamp Township Environmental Advisory Council, Historical Society, Joint Public Safety Committee, Parks and Recreation, Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board and Agricultural Security Area Advisory Council.
Together, all of these Boards, Commissions and Committees uphold the standards of Longswamp Township and those of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Second Class Township Code.
