Tree Removal
Since we get so many requests for tree removal service across the Township, we want to make it known that the Township is not responsible for, and therefore will not get involved with, any tree removal that does not encroach on the easement of a Township owned road. This includes trees on your property, as well as trees on your neighbors property that may be partially on your property. Unless the tree is hanging over or within the Township owned easement, the Township will not get involved in removing the tree or any parts of the tree.
Furthermore, Longswamp Township does not have legal jurisdiction to cut or trim trees or foliage, that is located on private property. We can advise the property owner to maintain their trees and foliage.
