Special Event Permit
The Longswamp Township Board of Supervisors recently passed the Public Gatherings and Special Events Ordinance into law.
This Ordinance states that any pavilion rental, special event or public gathering which will exceed 251 people will be required to apply for a Special Event permit. This application will go to the Board of Supervisors for review.
Events like weddings, bike events, parties, concerts and other special events and public gatherings all fall under the Special Event permit.
If your event is taking place at one of the Township's parks, please begin the process by filling out the regular Pavilion Rental Agreement which will ask how many people are expected to attend. If the box with 251+ is marked on the rental agreement, it will trigger the Special Event permit application process.
